Description: Horseshoe Ridge Project - Phase I and II

1996 and 1997

This $8 million project involved the construction of a haul road and the development of a pit, including a full drill and blast program. We employed the rarely seen "Cast Blast" technique on this project to reduce the volume of material to be hauled. A 245 Excavator, D10N track-type Tractor and four 773 CAT Trucks were the major pieces of equipment working on this project.
